Do cats dream?

Yes, cats can dream just like people can. When your cat is asleep, often you will notice that it is making soft meowing noises or moving its paws. This movement is a good sign that the cat is dreaming. Cats are in a dream state roughly a quarter of the time they are asleep - and they sleep a LOT, usually fifteen to sixteen hours a day. So what do cats dream about? Nobody can really be sure, but they are likely dreams about hunting and chasing prey such as mice and birds. They may even be dreaming about just hanging around the house or playing games with you.
