Is Febreze toxic to pets?
No - this is an urban legend spread around the Internet via e-mail, and there is no evidence to support it. The Animal Poison Control Center has issued a bulletin stating that they have investigated this claim and found no evidence of it. You can read more here. There is also a thorough debunking at an urban legend page here.
You might be more careful around birds with Febreze, because they are very sensitive to chemicals - but there are no confirmed reports of anything bad happening to them because of it. Otherwise, I would not worry about using it in a household with pets.
