Can a dog get pin worms?
Pinworms are gross little worms that live in the intestines and come out of the anus at night to lay eggs. In humans, they are common in children, but rare among adults.
Dogs cannot get the same kind of pinworm that lives in humans. However, pet owners often confuse canine tapeworms with pinworms, because the little segments are white and can come out of the anus, often wiggling around and looking very similar. You will need to talk to your vet and get the dog dewormed.
